Completion of the documentation work

The documentation work on the salvaged timbers was completed at the beginning of November. This marked the end of Archcom's time in Lübeck, whose employees are now putting the finishing touches to the data in home office until Christmas.

Until a few days ago, further samples were taken for dendrochronology in order to obtain even more information on the age and origin of the wood. The work on the timbers is now almost complete and the timbers were arranged in the basins for longer storage. Keeping the timbers moist is not only essential to prevent cracking and deformation, but also ensures the final demineralization of the timbers – an essential prerequisite for preserving the timbers in the future.
