Hanseatic ship can be salvaged

Almost exactly one year after the discovery of the Hanseatic ship, the city council approves with a large majority the provision of funds for the salvage and documentation of the wreck. According to various experts, the exceptionally well-preserved wreck is of great importance for research on Hanseatic shipping and is acutely threatened by destruction due to shipworms, current and shipping traffic.
