Evidence of shipbuilding in Lübeck?

Despite advanced erosion, four points carved in a horizontal row could be identified on the sternpost. They are exactly four Lübeck feet (1 foot = 28.762 cm) above the underside of the keel. This could be an indication that the ship was built according to Lübeck measurements, i.e. in Lübeck.

Draught marks can still be found on ships today. They indicate how deep the ship is in the water. This is very important information, as the ship should neither be overloaded nor run aground.
